I have been going to mike for weeks for back and shoulder pain, its been making a huge difference. Most recently I was talking about how if he sticks enough needles in my back, I might be lucky enough to be reincarnated as a porcupine. Very chill guy, seems pretty open to any treatment that will benefit clients. Great taste in music, too. I plan to keep making appointments until my pain is resolved. I woke up in absolute agony today – back pain and GI pressure causing me to walk like an 85 year old woman – not to mention the other myriad of things I added to the $0027to-do$0027 list. Typically would go through my insurance for acupuncture treatment, but it$0027s impossible to get appointments. Mike was able to fit me in today for my consult and first treatment. Great experience. I do the 90 minute acupuncture and cupping combo. I usually go in with moderate to severe back pain and leave pain free. Mike does a great job explaining things and making you feel comfortable. He has many other techniques to add to the experience. I was in excruciating, debilitating sciatic nerve pain and my best friend set me up an appointment saying «you HAVE to check this guy out» I had never tried acupuncture or cupping before and I$0027m sold now. My pain has reduced to half the amount it was. Mike is a miracle worker. Ive had severe pain in my back for years, and it got to the point I could barely walk. After my initial treatment my pain was near gone. I first went because I was having a health challenge and two different friends BOTH recommended that I go see Michael Sugiura who founded the Foothills Acupuncture Clinic. He is passionate and has an extensive knowledge and dedication when it comes to working on health issues.
The facility is lovely and reminiscent of an oasis. It is the kind of place where even the hand soap smells nice.
I could not be happier with my treatments. Every issue I have had has been addressed with care. I truly looked forward to my weekly appointments. I did a combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbs. I was skeptical at first of the herbs, but they actually seem to have helped.
I have already recommended Michael to dozens of my friends, and I recommend it to you without reservation.

I got my neck cranked pretty hard in jiu jitsu a couple months ago and had some pretty bad nerve issues/pain around the neck and shoulder. I decided to visit Mike at The Subtle Point to give acupuncture a try to see if it might help. After a few sessions I started to feel way better and actually started to heal. I also got some cupping done which helped with some muscle soreness as well. It was amazingly relaxing and after a few sessions the pain was gone. Not sure why I waited this long in life to try it, definitely helped the healing process for me and Mike was great to work with.
