Jared has a gift of making you feel comfortable the moment you enter the welcoming office of Summit Sports Acupunture. He is a great listener. My evaluation was very thorough. Jared is extremely knowledgable. He was able to explain our plan of action in terms that I could easily understand. Jared put together the parts of my 59 year old body puzzle in such a way that I walked out of the office feeling better than I had in 20 years! There is still work to be done. But I am relieved and thankful that I now have Jared on my self care team.

Dr. Jared Andersen is an incredible practitioner that integrates a holistic approach to health and wellness beyond acupuncture. I have worked with several acupuncturists over the years and have always found it to be helpful but never experienced acupuncture creating such profound changes in my body as I have through Jareds treatments. I originally sought treatment for intense jaw pain and also lower back and leg nerve pain. In addition to the healing Ive experienced in both of those areas, Jared has helped me identify a variety of supplements and a nutritional approach to treating several other health challenges such as osteoporosis. I have also utilized Dr. Anderson to train the staff in my company on health, wellness and body alignment, especially in this remote work setting. He is an incredible teacher!

I$0027ve been seeing Jared for a little over a month. I had significant lower back pain and sciatic nerve issues. Overall, it$0027s been a tremendous experience. From the minute you first walk in the door, you get the sense you are with someone who truly cares and wants to see you get much better.
Jared$0027s knowledge of the human body is impressive, and he is an outstanding listener. While my condition has greatly benefited from acupuncture treatments, his wellness program for me has been much more – including a stretching exercise routine, vitamin supplements, and consultation regarding improving my posture and hydration level.
I$0027m starting to feel like my old self again, and have much greater energy. I can$0027t recommend Jared high enough.

I came to Jared early in the summer with a debilitating bulging disc issue (old sports injury combined with overuse). I was so grateful to have discovered him in Truckee, and from the moment I met him, I felt I was in the best of hands. Jared is a fantastic listener, very personable and present – not to mention extremely knowledgable and adept in his profession. I felt stronger and more positive after the first couple of visits, and am confident that my back in on the right track for proper healing. As an «over-doer», Jared helped me see the «gift» in my need to «stop and heal». I cannot recommend him enough. Truckee/Tahoe is lucky to have him :)!

First winter in Truckee, I tore my knee. It was a long painstaking process and physical therapy was great but not terminating the pain areas I needed. I went to Jared at Summit Sports Acupuncture and he changed my knees recovery as well as my confidence to get back out there. Jared has an amazing practice and really cares about the well being of his patients. He devoted many hours into ensuring my knee will be back and healthy with following his treatments and advice. After dealing with chronic back pain for 10 years I have tried just about everything for relief. I have worked with a lot of different people looking for solutions. Jared is an incredible acupuncturists. He treated me throughout my pregnancy and postpartum. I truly don$0027t know how I would$0027ve made it through that time without him. I saw him on a biweekly basis. Each appointment, he was so present and always available to meet my ever-changing needs. Jared has many gifts when it comes to acupuncture and healing. His technique and style stands out due to his extensive understanding of the human body (anatomy), orthopedics, and movement mechanics. He not only was able to help ease my meniscus knee pain with specific needling techniques but more important showed me exercises and postural corrections (that I could do on my own) so that my knee would track better, feel better and eventually heal itself. I considered surgery after months of pain but after a few consistent sessions with Jared I understood why my meniscus went out in the first place and how to prevent it from going out again. I feel incredible grateful for all the lessons learned during my acupuncture sessions with Jared.
